An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Pinho in the 9th minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Oswaldo Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Pena got free with Nuno Neves in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Cipriano Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agua Santa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Agua Santa booed when ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Oswaldo Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Pinho in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Luiz Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nuno Neves. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. After 44 minutes, Luiz Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ and the Agua Santa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Agua Santa's Jânio Arantes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jânio Arantes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Agua Santa protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jânio Arantes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Agua Santa's Jânio Arantes got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Pinho to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Luiz Nascimento made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Agua Santa's Nuno Neves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute Aílton de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th match minute, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Laércio Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Nunes having to interfere. Emerson Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Cipriano Pinho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oswaldo Nunes. Cipriano Pinho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Agua Santa's Nuno Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Pena in the 94th minute of play.
