Vitório Lago was extremely unlucky when he, in the 5th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Redbourn AFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Shah Seng hit a great ball. Redbourn AFC's Afiz Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Godoi in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Paulo Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afiz Teo was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jorginho Ferreira hit a great ball. Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tan Cheng in the 18th minute of play. If Paulo Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Redbourn AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Afiz Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afiz Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Tan came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Ryan Tan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allan Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Redbourn AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Paulo Godoi scored to the left of an out of position Afiz Teo, making the score, 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, Paulo Godoi notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Redbourn AFC's Afiz Teo. Afiz Teo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulo Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Afiz Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Redbourn AFC's zone, Paulo Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afiz Teo came out of the goal and Paulo Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afiz Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Godoi made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Paulo Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afiz Teo was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Niclas Danielsson replaced Hudson Sergipano. In the 65th minute, Paulo Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Afiz Teo. Redbourn AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Afiz Teo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Godoi's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Paulo Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afiz Teo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Palestra do Interior's Percival Cruz was substituted for Paulo Godoi. 80 minutes into the game, Palestra do Interior's Herbert Pankowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afiz Teo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. After having played for 84 minutes, Percival Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra do Interior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Redbourn AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Cruz came free, but Afiz Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Percival Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Palestra do Interior's Percival Cruz in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Redbourn AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Palestra do Interior walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
