Horácio Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihály Földesi in the 21st minute of the match. Róbert Kormos was a little too slow when Josué Chaves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-1. Donalton Meneses could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Róbert Kormos made a huge save. 36 minutes into the game, Zsolt Vörös was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donalton Meneses in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Róbert Kormos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Róbert Kormos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donalton Meneses's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Wellington Terra hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Josué Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Róbert Kormos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Campidelis went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Szombathely Squirrels defense, Abel Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Róbert Kormos. The Szombathely Squirrels fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Róbert Kormos should have stopped the shot. Róbert Kormos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donalton Meneses, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Szombathely Squirrels's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
