Papillon AC's Sergio Jerano got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Papillon AC's Jean Van Damme got control of the ball when Bernabe Rojas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adolfo Adrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernabe Rojas scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jean Van Damme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Papillon AC's Jean Van Damme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Rojas in the 40th minute of play. Bernabe Rojass short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Jean Van Damme to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Gustavo Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0 descensos made a substitution. Luisito Leizarraga replaced Melquiades Galtero. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Papillon AC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucas-James Joshua ran over to the corner to take the kick. 85 minutes into the match, 0 descensos's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Modestio came free, but Adolfo Adrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timoteo Herrera's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adolfo Adrio firmly grabbed it by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, 0 descensos's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Birila came free, but Adolfo Adrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
