Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Papillon AC's Gustavo Birila started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jean Van Damme stood somewhat misplaced when Oliver Bierhoff came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 5 minute. The audience was convinced that Oliver Bierhoff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean Van Damme was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the match, Gustavo Birila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matías Patrone. Los Delfines's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Birila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Oliver Bierhoff in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jean Van Damme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Oliver Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean Van Damme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. When Ambrosio Bartolome came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Los Delfines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Bartolome couldn't finish the play. Zosimo Vadillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Bierhoff in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jean Van Damme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Oliver Bierhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Van Damme having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Bierhoff in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean Van Damme saved Papillon AC from getting behind. After 40 minutes, Oliver Bierhoff made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Papillon AC's Jean Van Damme tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliver Bierhoff to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Oliver Bierhoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Delfines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Bierhoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Delfines's Matías Patrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Birila in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute Sergio Jerano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Patrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Papillon AC's goalie prevented a goal. Jean Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 66th minute of play. Los Delfines made a substitution. Victor Jerrold replaced Ambrosio Bartolome. Los Delfines's Dani Cáceres managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Timoteo Herrera in the 72 minute of the game. Papillon AC's Jean Van Damme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Urbez in the 72nd minute of play. The corner led Los Delfines's Tomáš Kožený to fire away a dangerous shot which Jean Van Damme despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jean Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Urbez in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Papillon AC's zone, Lucas Urbez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Van Damme came out of the goal and Lucas Urbez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Orzaize's late challenge caught a Papillon AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Orzaize helped the player get up and apologised. Papillon AC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Delfines had won, even though Papillon AC had held more of the ball.
