With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Bierhoff in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cirilo Eliu saved Justicialista FC from getting behind. Cirilo Eliu came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Eneko in the 9th minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Matías Patrone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Orzaize recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oliver Bierhoff blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cirilo Eliu having to make a save. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver Bierhoff to strike the kick off in the second half. Matías Patrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Eneko, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Cirilo Eliu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Oliver Bierhoff showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Goyo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Eneko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matías Patrone was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Oliver Bierhoff was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Oscar Orzaize hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Justicialista FC's Hernan Tanio was substituted for Ariel Joey. Los Delfines's Lucas Urbez was substituted for Oliver Bierhoff. The supporters of Justicialista FC booed when Los Delfines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Orzaize didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Los Delfines were awarded a corner. Tomáš Kožený went to the cornerflag to take it. Lucas Urbez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cirilo Eliu having to make a save.
