The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dario Gaizko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of ToCoTaN FC booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Gaizko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Obeko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Eguerdi in the 8th minute of the match. Eustacio Nevada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Aureliano Obeko made a huge save. Leones FC's Aureliano Obeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Confesor in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Diego Manilan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carolo Sasoin. ToCoTaN FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Manilan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 21st minute, Constantino Ongile hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aureliano Obeko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedicto Danel in the 25th minute. Guido Confesor scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aureliano Obeko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carolo Sasoin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Poz in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Poz in the 45th minute of play forced ToCoTaN FC's goalkeeper Carolo Sasoin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guido Confesor to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Poz. In the 55th minute, Benedicto Danel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Carolo Sasoin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carolo Sasoin came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Leones FC's Alejo Louis. But to his dismay, Alejo Louis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 62 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Calvino. In the 68th match minute, ToCoTaN FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Eguerdi to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Sabin's late challenge caught a ToCoTaN FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Sabin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ToCoTaN FC booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Sasoin came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonardo Poz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 79th minute. When Guido Confesor came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the ToCoTaN FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Confesor couldn't finish the play. Hector Beila hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Leonardo Poz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
