Gaston Blai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Qwinton in the 4th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Arturo Estevez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Polentzi was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. After 11 minutes, Arturo Estevez made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Copérnico F.C.'s Eloy Polentzi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Copérnico F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Polentzi should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Estevez in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eloy Polentzi saved Copérnico F.C. from getting behind. Anacleto Ponciano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Copérnico F.C.'s zone, Arturo Estevez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Polentzi came out of the goal and Arturo Estevez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermegildo Polentzi hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Melchor Honrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jose Qwinton came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Copérnico F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Qwinton couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Estevez came free, but Eloy Polentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Arturo Estevez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Eloy Polentzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Jose Qwinton fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Copérnico F.C.'s protests and gave Jose Qwinton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, Copérnico F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Qwinton to maneuver through the defense. After the first half 0 descensos were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Estevez was the one to do the kick off. Gaston Blai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Sergi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. It was Melchor Honrio who took care of the corner kick. The corner led 0 descensos's Celso Quintana to fire away a dangerous shot which Eloy Polentzi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Copérnico F.C.'s Eloy Polentzi got control of the ball when Arturo Estevez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arturo Estevezs short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Eloy Polentzi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 69 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Froylan. Gaston Blai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Qwinton in the 73rd minute of the match. After 77 minutes, Arturo Estevez made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Copérnico F.C.'s Eloy Polentzi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Arturo Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Eloy Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Anacleto Ponciano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Copérnico F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Eloy Polentzi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Faustino Frederico. 0 descensos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
