After a rather tough play, Papillon AC's Alexis Mac Allister got a free kick in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Haritzeder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristian Gau, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristian Gau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olli-Pekka Suoste. In the 21st minute, Milton Friedman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Olli-Pekka Suoste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the game, Copérnico F.C.'s Alvaro Montrell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narciso Froylan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Milton Friedman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. Copérnico F.C.'s Cristian Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olli-Pekka Suoste in the 33rd minute of play. Armando Padro's late challenge caught a Papillon AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olli-Pekka Suoste to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Papillon AC's Gonzalo Haritzeder got a free kick in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Montrell in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Froylan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olli-Pekka Suoste scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Gau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olli-Pekka Suoste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Gau having to interfere. Sixto Jurgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Froylan having to interfere. Narciso Froylan made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Alvaro Montrell sent off a good shot on target. Sixto Jurgi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Froylan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Alvaro Montrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Narciso Froylan made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Leandro Mannie fired a really elegant long shot, but Narciso Froylan threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When Asopos Katsiavrias came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Copérnico F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asopos Katsiavrias couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Papillon AC's goal looked a bit too open when Asopos Katsiavrias came free, but Narciso Froylan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olli-Pekka Suoste in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Gau saved Copérnico F.C. from getting behind.
