The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severo Laurgain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Herminio Guillelme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Copérnico F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jose Garikoitz was slow to take the kick. During this time Social y Dep. Patagonia's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Jose Garikoitz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Copérnico F.C.'s Herminio Guillelme did a great save. Severo Laurgain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Guillelme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Severo Laurgain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herminio Guillelme was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Simon Quintan's late challenge caught a Social y Dep. Patagonia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Garikoitz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Copérnico F.C. getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Arnoldo Txatxu hit a great ball. In the 18th match minute, Copérnico F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Ledesma to maneuver through the defense. When Social y Dep. Patagonia's Severo Laurgain in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Copérnico F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Herminio Guillelme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Social y Dep. Patagonia were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Copérnico F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jose Garikoitz took the corner. Tobias Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Montrell in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match Social y Dep. Patagonia got a corner. Copérnico F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Garikoitz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Social y Dep. Patagonia's corner Jose Garikoitz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Herminio Guillelme quite easily take care of the ball. Alvaro Montrell kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Herminio Guillelme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Laurgain, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the game, Santos Felipillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Social y Dep. Patagonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Copérnico F.C. the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Social y Dep. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Felipillo to maneuver through the defense. After 43 played minutes Social y Dep. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Santos Felipillo. Severo Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santos Felipillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Severo Laurgain who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Herminio Guillelme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jose Garikoitz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the game, one of Social y Dep. Patagonia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Herminio Guillelme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Laurgain in the 56th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Alberto Galo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Social y Dep. Patagonia's Robustiano Elorri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The crowd rose to their feet as Severo Laurgain kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Herminio Guillelme. That made the score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. The throw-in from Alberto Galo in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Social y Dep. Patagonia's Robustiano Elorri. In the 70th minute, Alberto Galo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Grygoriy Lozynskyi lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Herminio Guillelme. After some careless play in the Copérnico F.C. defense, Grygoriy Lozynskyi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herminio Guillelme. The Copérnico F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herminio Guillelme should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Grygoriy Lozynskyi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herminio Guillelme was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Kazimierz Oliszewski hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the game, Social y Dep. Patagonia's Grygoriy Lozynskyi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herminio Guillelme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 97 minutes into the game, Grygoriy Lozynskyi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herminio Guillelme. Grygoriy Lozynskyi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Social y Dep. Patagonia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
