Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Per-Olof Kihlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asopos Katsiavrias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Filiberto Garikoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the FORTALEZA defense, Alvaro Montrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Olof Kihlberg. The FORTALEZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Olof Kihlberg should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasily Stahanovich got free with Herminio Guillelme in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Copérnico F.C. were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after FORTALEZA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnoldo Txatxu took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Galo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Per-Olof Kihlberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 14 minutes into the match, Filiberto Garikoitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per-Olof Kihlberg. FORTALEZA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Garikoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, FORTALEZA's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Montrell came free, but Per-Olof Kihlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Garikoitz in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Santo Gorka came free, but Herminio Guillelme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Montrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Olof Kihlberg was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The referee gave Vasily Stahanovich a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Copérnico F.C. booed when FORTALEZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Serada didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Arnoldo Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Montrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvaro Montrell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, FORTALEZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dmitry Yakubovsky to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Cordeal threw the ball into play from the sideline. Herminio Guillelme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedor Tabalevich in the 68th minute of the match. Per-Olof Kihlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filiberto Garikoitz in the 70th minute. Per-Olof Kihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asopos Katsiavrias, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Txatxu got free with Per-Olof Kihlberg in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FORTALEZA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Filiberto Garikoitz scored to the left of an out of position Per-Olof Kihlberg, making the score, 0-6. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Montrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Olof Kihlberg was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Per-Olof Kihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Txatxu in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Asopos Katsiavrias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per-Olof Kihlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 91st minute, Asopos Katsiavrias fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A hard shot 94 in the game by Alvaro Montrell from a close distance when the talented Per-Olof Kihlberg managed to make a qualified save. FORTALEZA's players were relieved. Arnoldo Txatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Per-Olof Kihlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Copérnico F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
