Mauro Joachim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yoppie Duaramuri went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hatta Arnawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Sanchez in the 37th minute of play. AFC CERBEROS were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Bandung Tigers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cornelio Valerio took the corner. Hatta Arnawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes of play, Bandung Tigers's Yoppie Duaramuri made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Joachim was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Bandung Tigers's Hatta Arnawa got control of the ball when Isaac Ciano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Bandung Tigers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bandung Tigers's Yoppie Duaramuri got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boy Hermawan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Joachim having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Cornelio Valerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bandung Tigers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
