The Obscurials were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Club Atlético Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabian Spânu took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Fabian Spânu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Germano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 14 minutes into the match, Adriano Ribeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Germano. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Ribeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Westerstrand in the 23rd minute of play. Paolo Caradaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zheng Chao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Adriano Ribeiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Germano firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hermengildo Erroman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Ribeiro came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Pedro Rojelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Germano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The Obscurials's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
