AC Batán were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Fecha Libre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Silvio Poz took the corner. The corner led to AC Batán's Enzo-Nicolás Perez getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Acácio Nogueira in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Martínez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 9 minutes of play, Fecha Libre's Martins Palermo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ni Le Zheng was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodolfo Manni hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Ni Le Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martins Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavino Hodei hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Batán's goalkeeper Ni Le Zheng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Acácio Nogueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emiliano Martínez. Acácio Nogueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. AC Batán's Gong Feng quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rodolfo Manni, made in the 32nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Fecha Libre's Gaston Caetano got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37thth minute of the game Acácio Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fecha Libre's Emiliano Martínez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emiliano Martínez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Acácio Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martins Palermo in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Batán's Acácio Nogueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Martínez. That made the score 2-1 after 40 minutes of play. After 45 minutes Fecha Libre's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvio Poz who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on AC Batán's corner Silvio Poz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emiliano Martínez quite easily take care of the ball. After 46 minutes, Silvestre Rexino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Batán and the Fecha Libre players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martins Palermo might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ni Le Zheng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martins Palermo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ni Le Zheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martins Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martins Palermo was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fecha Libre's Gaston Caetano got a free kick in the 55th minute. Martins Palermo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ni Le Zheng came out and tried to block the shot, but Martins Palermo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 57th minute. AC Batán's attentive Cristo Serapio managed to snatch the ball when Qi Ning Sha made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Emiliano Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fecha Libre booed when AC Batán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Poz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fecha Libre's Igli Tare was substituted for Martins Palermo. After 66 played minutes AC Batán got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Poz. After recieving a nice pass, Fecha Libre's Gavino Hodei tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ni Le Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamiel Stessel in the 69th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, AC Batán's Acácio Nogueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emiliano Martínez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. AC Batán's Cristoforo Di Ruscio was substituted for José Carlos da Silveira. In the 86th minute, Igli Tare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fecha Libre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Serapio in the 90th minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Fecha Libre defense, Cristo Serapio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Martínez. The Fecha Libre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Martínez should have stopped the shot. After 92 played minutes Fecha Libre got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Hustaz. 94 minutes into the game, Cido Cardozo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-3. Emiliano Martínez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fecha Libre players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AC Batán.
