The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Boleslaw Zielinski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Nihat Yıldıray. Estación Q.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Boleslaw Zielinski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 7 minutes in the game Yuan Yuan Hong did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Andrzej Zapolski. If Andrzej Zapolski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute Andrzej Zapolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Zapolski. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Zapolski in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Estación Q.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcos Berasko was slow to take the kick. During this time Lyons's players had a chance to rest. In the 23rd minute, Andrzej Zapolski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estación Q. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Lyons's Severo Basualdo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Virgilio Maraman, made in the 26th minute of the game. 28 minutes in the game Virgilio Maraman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Macit Serter. In the 35th minute Andrzej Zapolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Lyons's Boleslaw Zielinski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arif Nihat Yıldıray made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Arif Nihat Yıldıray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boleslaw Zielinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After the first half Lyons were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Andrzej Zapolski made the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, Estación Q.'s Andrzej Zapolski made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Quinten was left in no man's land by his defense there! Estación Q. made a substitution. Benicio Beliran replaced Andrzej Zapolski. Estación Q.'s Arif Nihat Yıldıray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boleslaw Zielinski in the 69th minute of play. Virgilio Maraman kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Estación Q.'s Mauro Todor was substituted for Ziya Özcakir. Lyons's Dariusz Roano was substituted for Boleslaw Zielinski. Lyons's Stig Åkerberg was substituted for Aurelio Vasco. 84 minutes into the game, Benicio Beliran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Luisito Quinten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th match minute, Estación Q. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Acuña to maneuver through the defense. Arif Nihat Yıldıray came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lyons's Dariusz Roano. But to his dismay, Dariusz Roano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. In the 95th minute Mauro Todor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Dariusz Roano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Maraman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
