Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Bălășoiu in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to El ABUELO FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Fatih Kadi hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in El ABUELO FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Rodolfo Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Ivănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emiliano Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Bertassi having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Dinu Ivănescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Rodolfo Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Ivănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Dinu Ivănescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodolfo Bertassi. El ABUELO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinu Ivănescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Despidida AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emiliano Velasco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodolfo Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toro Martínez in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Despidida AFC defense, Remus Bălășoiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Selatse. The Despidida AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Selatse should have stopped the shot. Fernando Selatse came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by El ABUELO FC's Remus Bălășoiu. But to his dismay, Remus Bălășoiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind El ABUELO FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Bertassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toro Martínez got free with Rodolfo Bertassi in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodolfo Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Despidida AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
