Sivert Hagström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Martin Ødegaard sped through Los Potrillos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Filiberto Figueroa. After 46 played minutes Los Potrillos got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Abeita.

The wind increased when Abelardo Cloyo made the kick off in the second half. Martin Ødegaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
