After 37 minutes Mazaredo AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fred Arenius who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mazaredo AFC's goalie and right to Reine Eliasson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mazaredo AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Reine Eliasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Orlondon having to interfere. A collision led to Mazaredo AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ernesto Perez hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Despite being the better team, The Shadows failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
