Abdulhamid Djahnine's late challenge caught a Cachiyuyu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdulhamid Djahnine helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Yellow Springs1860:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cachiyuyu:s goal. After a rather tough play, Cachiyuyu's Miguel Godoy got a free kick in the 9th minute. Miguel Godoys short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got 何弘锋 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Cachiyuyu booed when Yellow Springs1860 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yasmina Belloumi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ceferino Lartaun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefanos Vasiliou's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Stefanos Vasiliou put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ceferino Lartaun. After some careless play in the Yellow Springs1860 defense, Guaberto Ramirez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 何弘锋. The Yellow Springs1860 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 何弘锋 should have stopped the shot. Yohann Bricout took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ceferino Lartaun. Ceferino Lartaun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 31 minutes into the match, Yellow Springs1860's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Ramirez came free, but 何弘锋 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Guaberto Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachiyuyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Ramirez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 何弘锋 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Yellow Springs1860's Stefanos Vasiliou in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 46th minute Stefanos Vasiliou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Lartaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes, Stefanos Vasiliou made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Cachiyuyu's Ceferino Lartaun tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Cachiyuyu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yellow Springs1860 were winning 1-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stefanos Vasiliou to strike the kick off in the second half. 何弘锋 came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Cachiyuyu's Miguel Godoy. But to his dismay, Miguel Godoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Godoy in the 61st minute of play forced Yellow Springs1860's goalkeeper 何弘锋 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceferino Lartaun made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Stefanos Vasiliou sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute Stefanos Vasiliou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Lartaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Yellow Springs1860's Abdulhamid Djahnine got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Yellow Springs1860's Stefanos Vasiliou slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ceferino Lartaun. That made the score 3-7 after 88 minutes of play. Yellow Springs1860's Stefanos Vasiliou got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guaberto Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
