In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Cina came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a left leg Ysmael Marfil saved DINAMO from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's Thomas Müller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ysmael Marfil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Alemannia Aachen from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute, Lech Wawrukiewicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ysmael Marfil was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2.
