Guga Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Emílio Motta managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Vila Mascote FC's Zhang Zheng Liang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Délio Peixoto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 37th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhang Zheng Liang in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Zhang Zheng Liang sped through Guará FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emílio Motta. The supporters of Vila Mascote FC booed when Guará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Gustave Martinot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
