During this time Alexandria Team08's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Albano Sergi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ronnie Hellström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 6 minutes into the game Albano Sergi came into a good position and shot a long shot on goal. In spite of Ronnie Hellström trying to reach the ball it went through just inside the left pole. 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Marin Dică lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Ronnie Hellström. Egídio Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. A hard shot by Albano Sergi from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Ronnie Hellström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Alexandria Team08's Faustão Abraão was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Dică in the 27th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Ronnie Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 32nd minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Panait Frânculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Skövde AIK got a corner. Alexandria Team08's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chen Ao Fan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kurt Hamrin made a great header on Skövde AIK's corner, it was just that Alexandria Team08's Panait Frânculescu managed to reach the ball for a save. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronnie Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Panciu in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Dică came free, but Ronnie Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Chen Ao Fan put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Panait Frânculescu. Alexandria Team08's Zhou was substituted for Faustão Abraão. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Keegan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronnie Hellström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhou went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Panait Frânculescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Panciu came free, but Ronnie Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Skövde AIK's Ronnie Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basarab Panciu in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's Marin Dică sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronnie Hellström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alexandria Team08's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
