Spectators: 48 (Terracing: 37, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rupert Heidingsfelder took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rune Jarstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Mansilha in the 4th minute of the match. Hertha 1969's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lüder Roppel in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mansilha in the 9th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lutz Golke in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Jarstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute Alex Mansilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Elenescu came free, but Paul Heyckendorf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Mansilha in the 18th minute of play. Gigel Elenescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Paul Heyckendorf made a huge save. With his leg Paul Heyckendorf managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Hertha 1969's Gigel Elenescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 24 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Nils Hovermann. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigel Elenescu got free with Paul Heyckendorf in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rune Jarstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Mansilha in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Alex Mansilha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Mansilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Ahrem came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Kurt Ahrem notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein. Rune Jarstein was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Mansilha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhard Baum to maneuver through the defense. If Rupert Heidingsfelder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lutz Golke. Rupert Heidingsfelder struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Paul Heyckendorf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hertha 1969. Academica Pulheim's Zbigniew Setara was substituted for Kurt Ahrem. Maxime Vrints had several of the Hertha 1969's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Rune Jarstein as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxime Vrints, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Joachim Kretschmer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rune Jarstein, 0-4. Academica Pulheim's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
