After taking down the ball on LavAzzA's corner Gaudencio Lekubegi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pavlos Konstantakakis quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gaudencio Lekubegi sped through Hamburg Fighters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pavlos Konstantakakis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Balla in the 8th minute of play forced LavAzzA's goalkeeper Iwan Lepucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamburg Fighters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Lekubegi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The LavAzzA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The LavAzzA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
