Pavlos Konstantakakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Rosa in the 5th minute of the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Gianluca Balla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamburg Fighters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gianluca Balla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianni Balla in the 11th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Balla, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the game, FC Wil 1900's Tory Pryor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianni Balla in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Tory Pryor came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tory Pryor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavlos Konstantakakis having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Dinu Bocu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lionel Paly was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tory Pryor in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Valerian Podlich. Pavlos Konstantakakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pirmin Jäggi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Bocu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Dinu Bocu made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Rick. In the 56th match minute, FC Wil 1900 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georges Gladu to maneuver through the defense. If Gianluca Balla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Bocu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Bocu in the 66th minute of play. Pavlos Konstantakakis came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Wil 1900's Pirmin Jäggi. But to his dismay, Pirmin Jäggi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pirmin Jäggi in the 71st minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74th play minutes Gianni Balla shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Lionel Paly and just under the crossbar into goal. Pirmin Jäggi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Pavlos Konstantakakis made a huge save. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, FC Wil 1900's Tory Pryor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pavlos Konstantakakis. Pavlos Konstantakakis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Balla, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Gianluca Balla scored 3-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lionel Paly, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brandon Rick hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hamburg Fighters players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
