Anthon Billing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willi Tilmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. But to his dismay, Emilio Argina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 84 minutes, Dan Bolin made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Willi Tilmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anthon Billing was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Emilio Argina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
