The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Aquiles Oihenarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Quintun in the 20th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Honesto. After 31 played minutes ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Nastasio. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dávid Bisconti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Aquiles Oihenarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Dante Quintun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Oihenarte came out of the goal and Dante Quintun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobaldo Milian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelino Nastasio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aquiles Oihenarte. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Pedro Rojelio's late challenge caught a ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Rojelio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Pedro Rojelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelino Nastasio took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquiles Oihenarte. Aquiles Oihenarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Aquiles Oihenarte got control of the ball when Pedro Pabla tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Admon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Dante Quintun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Quintun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dávid Bisconti got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-4 in the right cross in the 72nd match minute before Aquiles Oihenarte had time to react. Dante Quintun took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquiles Oihenarte. Aquiles Oihenarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 92nd minute, Dante Quintun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Darío Scotto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Oihenarte having to interfere.
