With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernd Yuschni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Qiao Xing Qi scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Jarstein, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rupert Heidingsfelder kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willi Tilmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Emilio Melzer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bernd Yuschni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Melzer hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Voss came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rupert Heidingsfelder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Bernd Yuschni made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hertha 1969 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
