Kai Frei scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andriy Lunin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andriy Lunin made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Ahmet Ege Nesefi sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Loris Groß sped through SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andriy Lunin. Andriy Lunin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junior Grajdeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Andriy Lunin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Ege Nesefi. After 38 minutes of play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niculae Ungureanu made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Schönhagen the free kick. In the 47th minute, Chen Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Loris Groß made the kick off in the second half. Despite being the better team, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
