Baraxil Sarrate made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Willi Tilmann sent off a good shot on target. After 23 minutes VILLARREAL UNITED's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lei Xiang Rong who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Lei Xiang Rong got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baraxil Sarrate quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Willi Tilmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Baraxil Sarrate when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Voicu in the 26th minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hannover Reds getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Raoul Kreibisch hit a great ball. If Valentin Voicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd match minute, VILLARREAL UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Campello to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Douglas Lundin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baraxil Sarrate skillfully saved the ball. If Valentin Voicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Voicu in the 39th minute of play. Bernd Yuschni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Voicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Willi Tilmann charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willi Tilmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Hannover Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willi Tilmann to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 51st minute Willi Tilmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baraxil Sarrate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VILLARREAL UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Voicu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jörn Hartwig's late challenge caught a VILLARREAL UNITED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jörn Hartwig helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VILLARREAL UNITED booed when Hannover Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Hartwig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Voicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Voicu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernd Yuschni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Valentin Voicu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 88th playminute. In the 92nd minute, Lei Xiang Rong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd match minute, Hannover Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lei Xiang Rong to maneuver through the defense. After 94th play minutes Yusuf Kaya shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Bernd Yuschni and just under the crossbar into goal. The Hannover Reds supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VILLARREAL UNITED's performance. The match ended with a win for VILLARREAL UNITED.
