After 4 played minutes Hannover Reds got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Lundin. In the 6th minute, Qiao Xing Qi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Friedrich Nietzsche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Hannover Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Tory Pryor came free, but Bernd Yuschni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emery Heller in the 15th minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Qiao Xing Qi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hannover Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Qiao Xing Qi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Tory Pryor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernd Yuschni, 1-0. In the 27thth minute of the game Emilio Argina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Hannover Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Thalberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's Téo Rosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernd Yuschni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Hannover Reds getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Willi Tilmann hit a great ball. Lionel Paly was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lionel Paly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Hannover Reds were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Philipp Santagapita scored 2-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernd Yuschni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Markus Thalberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Rosa in the 60th minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qiao Xing Qi in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Rosa in the 63rd minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Hannover Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lei Xiang Rong to maneuver through the defense. Qiao Xing Qi took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lionel Paly. Lionel Paly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 73 minutes into the game, Emery Heller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Bernd Yuschni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Téo Rosa scored 4-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernd Yuschni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Voss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tory Pryor in the 85th minute of play. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pirmin Jäggi in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Hannover Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Téo Rosa led 93 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 5-3. In the 96th minute, Georges Gladu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Wil 1900 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hannover Reds had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
