In the 16th minute, Academica Pulheim's Kurt Ahrem dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Lutz Golke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jess Carnduff made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Alex Mansilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jess Carnduff was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Jess Carnduff was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Alex Mansilha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alex Mansilha really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Mateusz Rydel kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Alex Mansilhas short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Jess Carnduff to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Mansilha in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jess Carnduff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jess Carnduff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Kretschmer in the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 minutes of play, Academica Pulheim's Lutz Golke made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jess Carnduff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jess Carnduff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Mansilha's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Mateusz Rydel hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Mansilha came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateusz Rydel charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

After 53 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Frans Baltzer. 53 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Lutz Golke came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alex Mansilha got free in front of the goal in the 55th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jess Carnduff was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Lutz Golke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jess Carnduff. Alemannia Aachen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lutz Golke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Roberto Seppmann replaced Reinhard Baum. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Louis Leißner hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Maxime Vrints sped through Alemannia Aachen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jess Carnduff. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbigniew Setara in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jess Carnduff saved Alemannia Aachen from getting behind. Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Kretschmer in the 71st minute of play. When Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alemannia Aachen's goalie prevented a goal. Jess Carnduff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Mansilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbigniew Setara in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the Alemannia Aachen defense, Zbigniew Setara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jess Carnduff. The Alemannia Aachen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jess Carnduff should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alemannia Aachen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Academica Pulheim.
