Iwan Lepucki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willi Tilmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernd Yuschni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Lekubegi got free with Bernd Yuschni in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaudencio Lekubegi struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Bernd Yuschni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LavAzzA. The crowd rose to their feet as LavAzzA's Gaudencio Lekubegi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernd Yuschni. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Hannover Reds's Lars Voss got a free kick in the 31st minute. LavAzzA's Kuno Kubin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Herbert Busch, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Hannover Reds from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Lekubegi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni. Bernd Yuschni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of LavAzzA booed when Hannover Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willi Tilmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Lars Voss made a precise shot to the right of Iwan Lepucki. LavAzzA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaudencio Lekubegi made a kick off. In the 51st minute Gaudencio Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernd Yuschni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hannover Reds booed when LavAzzA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franc Fabra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernd Yuschni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaudencio Lekubegi's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 72nd minute, one of LavAzzA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LavAzzA. When the match had been going on for 74 minutes, Hannover Reds's Lei Xiang Rong got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Iwan Lepucki. The audience was convinced that Gaudencio Lekubegi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernd Yuschni was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Lekubegi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernd Yuschni. Hannover Reds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Lekubegi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. If Di Ao Shi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernd Yuschni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 94th minute of the match. Fernando Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Abendroth in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LavAzzA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hannover Reds had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
