Irinel Tatomir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cícero Palmeira having to make a save. In the 27th minute of the game Adrián Frick made a throw-in which Lucrețiu Ghimiș played forward. If Viktor Cziráki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cícero Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Ghimiș in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Olaf Glozor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nektarios Varveris having to make a save.
