Mårten Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Lucente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fabiano Di Fabio came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Di Fabio couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Federico Lucente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mårten Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Federico Lucente sped through Oakcroft Thrashers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mårten Nordström. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Federico Lucente made the kick off in the second half. Amos Lepre struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Mårten Nordström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.S. Udinese. In the 61stth minute of the game Amos Lepre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oakcroft Thrashers's Mårten Nordström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But to his dismay, Federico Lucente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 65th minute, Amos Lepre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mårten Nordström. The goal made the score 1-3. Mårten Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Lucente in the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Amos Lepre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mårten Nordström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 96th minute, Federico Lucente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Udinese left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Oakcroft Thrashers.
