The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Pessoa got free with Ivo Guterres in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Nuno Bragança received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. David Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Guterres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Pessoa in the 18th minute of the match. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Bragança in the 22nd minute of play. In the 29th minute Abílio Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Leal in the 33rd minute of the match. Angelo Pessoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Ivo Guterres made a huge save. After 39 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Brás. Angelo Pessoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivo Guterres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Pessoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Angelo Pessoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ivo Guterres made a huge save.

52 minutes into the match, Angelo Pessoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Guterres. SC Freiburg 09's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Pessoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 55th minute Teodoro Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match AM United got a corner. SC Freiburg 09's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adelino Palma ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adelino Palma almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres did a great save. Nuno Bragança recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Pessoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivo Guterres having to make a save. In the 65th minute Nuno Bragança shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Teodoro Freire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. AM United were victorious despite being under pressure from SC Freiburg 09 for much of the match.
