Gustavo Carrasqueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Exército Português's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Luís Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petruț Dicu was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The Exército Português players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pinhote FC were winning 0-2.

The Exército Português supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pinhote FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Pinhote FC.
