Beto Márcico kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Basilio Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mattias Barratt was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Argentinos del Norte:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Muchachos del 86:s goal. Primeiro Leto had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Saverio Brion's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute, Saverio Brion ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Primeiro Leto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Primeiro Leto firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Stoica in the 39th minute of play forced Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Argentinos del Norte's Eliodor Stoica got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Primeiro Leto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domenico Gentili was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Los Muchachos del 86 booed when Argentinos del Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Frechoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Fabio Bencivenni replaced Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Los Muchachos del 86 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Argentinos del Norte had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
