Charlie Beck started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Saga TF's zone, Tommy Asklöv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Forseth came out of the goal and Tommy Asklöv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Hallgren. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Beck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Botnen came free, but Rıza Vuralhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charlie Beck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Joachim Forseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Bo Harman. Brian Laudrup took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rıza Vuralhan. Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Beck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 43rd minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Rıza Vuralhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Erik Cantona made the kick off in the second half. Rıza Vuralhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Strömsbro IF's Argyris Papapetrou in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rıza Vuralhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Strömsbro IF's Mao Jun Yun got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Strömsbro IF's Rıza Vuralhan got control of the ball when Erik Cantona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erik Cantona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Rıza Vuralhan made a huge save. With his leg Rıza Vuralhan managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Saga TF's Erik Cantona fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Strömsbro IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brian Laudrup was slow to take the kick. During this time Saga TF's players had a chance to rest. In the 85th minute, Leszek Milko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argyris Papapetrou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joachim Forseth having to make a save. 87 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goal looked a bit too open when Argyris Papapetrou came free, but Joachim Forseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Rıza Vuralhan throw himself and got hold of the ball when Erik Cantona in the 93rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Saga TF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Brian Laudrup in the 95th minute. The corner led Saga TF's Brian Laudrup to fire away a dangerous shot which Rıza Vuralhan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
