An unexpectedly hard shot by Du Lin in the 14th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Ronnie Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Falck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chen Ao Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronnie Hellström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Du Lin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. In the 27th minute Kevin Keegan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Falck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute of the match, Kevin Keegan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Falck saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kevin Keegan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Falck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicholas Huguet, made in the 69th minute of the game. Ronnie Hellström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Albom, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Tommy Falck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Kruse in the 74th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Skövde AIK's Håkan Kruse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Falck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Kevin Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Falck having to interfere.
