The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerazan Lluba in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, OROTINENSE's Jacek Walczak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rik Sirguero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 9th minute Jatsu Tixido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Yong Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Iordache Opincaru could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Rik Sirguero however easily saved by the left post. Liu Yong Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fagondo Mazule, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Fagondo Mazule scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Liu Yong Yong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Iordache Opincaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OROTINENSE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The tension between the OROTINENSE and the Fire Breathers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iordache Opincaru hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Fagondo Mazule made a great header on Fire Breathers FC's corner, it was just that OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong managed to reach the ball for a save.
