Ali Cafer Konuralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Mirande in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, RED DEVIL's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Romildo came free, but Ali Cafer Konuralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Andrei Ivan put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ciriaco Matxin. In the 33rd minute Tomás Romo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Romildo in the 35th minute of play forced RED DEVIL's goalkeeper Ali Cafer Konuralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Perugorría booed when RED DEVIL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Baldovino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Cafer Konuralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Euloxu in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hipolito Mel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Barreiros in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Matxin saved Perugorría from getting behind. Ciriaco Matxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Barreiros in the 57th minute of the match. The RED DEVIL fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when RED DEVIL's Andrei Ivan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Astor Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Perugorría's Amado Monte got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ciriaco Matxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Barreiros went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Hipolito Mel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ali Cafer Konuralp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Fernando Barreiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciriaco Matxin. Perugorría's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Barreiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1.
