Symba's Muhammad Bejaoui was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cãlin Damaschin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 15th minute of play. Cãlin Damaschin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás San Juan in the 31st minute. With a little luck, CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin got control of the ball when Tomás San Juan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anis Achour narrowly saved just below the crossbar. CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tacettin Umay in the 34th minute of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Barto Crespo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Anis Achour made a huge save. Cãlin Damaschin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tacettin Umay's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 61 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anis Achour narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Moreno Martins got a free kick in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Sílvio Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Symba's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cãlin Damaschin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Veiga in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cãlin Damaschin saved CERRO PORTEÑO from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis got free with Anis Achour in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anis Achour was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 80 minute of play. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anis Achour read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Anis Achour came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by CERRO PORTEÑO's Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis. But to his dismay, Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the final whistle went the supporters of CERRO PORTEÑO were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Symba side.
