When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, Hydra's Jeremias Llorenc got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Enéas Leme. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Pernambucano in the 26th minute of play forced Hydra's goalkeeper Ermegildo Txurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hydra booed when 27 de Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball.
