An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Lorien in the 14th minute of play forced Carcanha SC's goalkeeper Dalmo Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Carcanha SC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Gagriel came free, but Dalmo Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alcira's Gaudencio Romildo in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dalmo Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Romildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Lopes in the 42nd minute of play forced Alcira's goalkeeper Jeronimo Seme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaudencio Romildo's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henrique Lopes was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Alcira booed when Carcanha SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaudencio Romildo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Dalmo Peixoto made a huge save. Ciriaco Hodei hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Sydney do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Romildo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dalmo Peixoto, 0-1. Gaudencio Romildo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Dalmo Peixoto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Octavio Lorien kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dalmo Peixoto. That made the score 0-2 in the 71 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Octavio Lorien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alcira's Jeronimo Seme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney do Nascimento in the 79th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Romildo got free with Dalmo Peixoto in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dalmo Peixoto made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Bartolo Baleren sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the game, Luisito Chumo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carcanha SC the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Alcira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Chumo to maneuver through the defense. If Sydney do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
