In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Welling FC's goalkeeper Sebastien Bridge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Junior Prince reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dietbald Mutzel. The goal made the score 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinhold Denzin made a kick off. When Reinhold Denzin came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Tümlauer Koog FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinhold Denzin couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinhold Denzin in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastien Bridge saved Welling FC from getting behind.
