With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Aztore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cornelio Aztore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Urtun in the 22nd minute of play. When Geronimo Erdiano came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Quilumpa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Erdiano couldn't finish the play. Nicanor Peruanton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Aztore having to make a save. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justino Oinatz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Gilberto Amor made a huge save. Tiburcio Aguilera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Amor having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiburcio Aguilera was the one to do the kick off. Fernando Marin might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelio Aztore. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Marin ran back to his position shaking his head. 53 minutes into the match, Quilumpa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Marin came free, but Cornelio Aztore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Amaná FC's Fernando Marin shot a high long ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Aquiles Urtun kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cornelio Aztore. That made the score 1-1 in the 66 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Urtun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Aztore was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Nicanor Peruanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Cornelio Aztore made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Fermin Cordeal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tiburcio Aguilera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amaná FC's Gilberto Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Aguilera in the 82nd minute of play. Aquiles Urtun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cornelio Aztore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
