Angelino Feliz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Americo Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. Dalmo Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Americo Checa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dalmo Peixoto. Americo Checa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Americo Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Peixoto having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henrique Lopes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Carcanha SC got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Romero. Americo Checa's late challenge caught a Carcanha SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Checa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Carcanha SC booed when Los Borrachos del Tablon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Checa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carcanha SC's Sydney do Nascimento in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Los Borrachos del Tablon's Angelino Feliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Lopes in the 71st minute of play.
