After 13 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Raik Topuz. The supporters of 安徽天柱俱乐部队 booed when Olympique Fribourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edoardo Oroni hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Raik Topuz got free with 巩谦雄 in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when 莫潮剑 came free, but Patrick Knechtli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, 柳皓潮 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 安徽天柱俱乐部队 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Olympique Fribourg's Raik Topuz got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olympique Fribourg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
