When Boiken Juniku fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Prishtina FC's protests and gave Boiken Juniku a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Boiken Juniku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tord Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Conrao in the 11th minute of play. Hickey Dunne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stefan Strömbom in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Karl-Magnus Håning put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hickey Dunne. After some careless play in the Huaröd defense, Tião Donato kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tord Forsberg. The Huaröd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tord Forsberg should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute Karl-Magnus Håning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hickey Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Prishtina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Donato to maneuver through the defense. Boiken Juniku kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. With a little luck, Prishtina FC's Hickey Dunne got control of the ball when Stefan Strömbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hickey Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joar Valrot in the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sture Brogren was the one to do the kick off. Donato Conrao received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tord Forsberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Donato Conrao slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 50th minute. Prishtina FC's Hickey Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joar Valrot in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Strömbom in the 69th minute of play forced Prishtina FC's goalkeeper Hickey Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Huaröd getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Svante Alén hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes Huaröd got a freekick which was hit by Joar Valrot. After a defensive mix-up in Prishtina FC's zone, Algot Brandin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hickey Dunne came out of the goal and Algot Brandin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the game, Joar Valrot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Hickey Dunne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joar Valrot scored 3-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hickey Dunne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
